PRIYA FLORENCE DADLANI (SHE/THEY) IS A MULTI-DISCIPLINARY CULTURAL WORKER & COMMUNITY ORGANIZER BASED IN BROOKLYN, NY.

Priya is the Founder & Director of SPICY, a zine-making collective that began organizing in 2017 at the intersection of art, healing justice, and cultural archival. Through SPICY's programming, they have partnered with Writers Club NY, Secret Riso Club, the Brooklyn Art Book Fair, New Women Space, NYC Feminist Zinefest, the New Museum, the New York Public Library, and are a founding member of the Coalition for Small Arts NYC. In addition to leading SPICY, Priya is utilizing strategic communications to support grassroots, youth-led, gender justice organizations as Third Wave Fund’s Communications Officer of Storytelling, and is working to end gender-based violence in Indo-Caribbean communities across NYC as part of Jahajee’s Steering Committee. She was also in the Bandung Residency’s 2024-2025 cohort stewarded by MoCADA and Asian American Arts Alliance, and participated in the Pollinator Co-op Residency’s inaugural cohort in 2025.

Guided by the belief that universe-altering shifts can emerge from even the smallest leaps of faith, Priya’s charge is to utilize the transformative powers of community organizing, art, and healing justice to weave nets of support for those who have been harmed by overlapping systems of oppression. Across all of her work, she is seeding alternative, cooperative, and sustainable systems of care that will bloom into the worlds we deserve.

You can find Priya on social media at @priya.florence, or subscribe to her newsletter titled Dispatches from Chrysalis through which she openly spirals through her own process of becoming, and hosts journaling workshops.
